| The Western KG Regional Championships were held in Parker Colorado by the Colorado Canine Club and what a wonderful event they put on! Members from Olympus who were attending were Asheley Winters, Glen Crawford competing with Yoda for the VPG II and Cheryl Weaver competing with Tiger in the VPG III. The club did something a little different this year by having the competitors at the draw not only draw for order in which they competed, but they also drew for teams. The team combined their scores for a little added bonus "Team Trophy" It was quite by coincidence that Glen and Yoda drew Cheryl and Tiger to team up with. There was some very tough competition but it was obvious early on that this team would be the one to beat. Glen and Yoda competing for the VPG II performed an outstanding routine in all three phases earning an impressive 95 in tracking, 91 in obedience and a nearly flawless 96 in protection! Earning the High in VPG II (first ever VPG II) and High in Trial - 282! With Cheryl and Tiger scoring 93 in tracking, 83 in obedience and 81 in protection the "Double Dutch" team took home the "Team Trophy" with a combined score of 539! |
